The National Capital Region is in fact a coordinated planning region. And this coordinated planning region is actually centered upon the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India.

In other word the National Capital Region that is NCR here is a coordinated planning region centred upon the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. This in fact encompasses the whole NCT of the capital of India that is Delhi as well as several districts that surrounds  it from the states surrounding it. This is including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh as well as Rajasthan.

Some More Important Things About NCR

Well dear readers in the previous section I have shared with all of you about the basic regarding the National Capital Region.   • The National Capital Region that is NCR and the associated National Capital Region Planning Board came intoo being in 1985.
  • This was build in order to plan the development of the region as well as to evolve harmonized policies for the control of land-uses and development of infrastructure in the region.
  • Also it includes the prominent cities of NCR include Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida and Muzaffarnagar.
  • Also it is one of the fact that NCR is a rural urban region.
  • And the very region is with a population almost of over 46069000.
  • One of the thing here is that an urbanization level is of 63 percent almost.
  • There is Urban Agglomeration and this is also a part of the National Capital Region.
  • This in fact contributed 370 billion dollar.

History

Well here is another section. And from the name you can think about the things. Here I will share about the history of National Capital Region. So guys if you are interested to know about the history, it will be helpful. In this article I will share all the things most of the people are looking for.

  1. The National Capital Region that is NCE here and the planning board of NCR came into picture under the National Capital Region Planning Board Act of 1985. In other words National Capital Region Planning Board Act of 1985 done this.
  2.  National Capital Region Planning Board Act of 1985 Act defined the NCR as being the whole of NCT of Delhi.
  3. This includes Haryana districts of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Rohtak , Sonipat, and the Rewari and Panipat tehsils then in Mahendragarh, southern district of Haryana.
  4. Another here is Eastern part of NCR that is Uttar Pradesh districts of Bulandshahr, Meerut and Ghaziaba.
  5. Apart from UP and that of Haryana there are some of the Rajasthan district of Alwar.

Apart from all the above there are many other historic facts as well.

In July in the year of 2013, National Capital Region was expanded. Actually NCR was expanded in order to include three more districts, Bhiwani, and Mahendragarh (Both are in the state of Haryana), and also Bharatpur which is in the state of Rajasthan.

Well dear readers on 9th of June 2015 the Government of India approved the inclusion of three more districts in National Capital Region. And these three more districts include Jind, Karnal as well as Muzaffarnagar. For the information dear  Jind and Karnal is in the state of Haryana on the another hand there is Muzaffarnagar which is in U.P.

Central NCR

Here is another section. There is Central NCR. Central NCR in fact stand for that of Central National Capital Region. Well I am going to share with you all about the CNCR. It refers to Central National Capital Region. So guys just go through the things.

  • The first thing is that the 2001 regional plan defined the Delhi Metropolitan Area as including Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida also,  Gurgaon,  and the two others namely Bahadurgarh as well as Kondli.
  • The 2021 plan renamed the area as CNCR that is Central National Capital Region.
  • This is covering approx 2,000 km2  and this is in addition to the 1,483 km2 of NCT Delhi.

The plan of 2021 estimated the 2001 population of the Central National Capital Region outside of Delhi NCT to be over 2.8 million. On the another hand Delhi NCT’s population was 13.8 million thus yielding a total Central National Capital Region population of 16.6 million. 

Regional Planning

Now in the last here I would like to tell you one of the most important thing. This will be about Regional Planning. Let me come on the point directly dear.

There are in fact 2 Regional Plans. And This is National Capital Region Planning Board who have issued these two regional plans.

Let me mention the plans with the lists.

  1. The first one is Regional Plan 2001,
  2. Another one is that of the Regional Plan 2021.

Actually the regional plan 2001, National Capital Region was approved in the 1988. One the another hand there was the Regional Plan 2021, the NCR Planning Board issued the plan in the year 2005.

The 2001 regional plan included the topics like that of transport, telecommunications, power and water supply, waste and sewerage, education, health, the environment, housing and the counter magnet areas. While the 2021 plan extended these with the topics of social infrastructure, heritage, tourism, rural development and disaster management.
