Comparison of LPG with Natural Gas

As it is earlier mentioned that LPG is composed mainly of propane as well as butane. On the another hand dear there is natural gas which is composed of the lighter methane and ethane also. At atmospheric pressure and vaporized, LPG has a higher calorific value than that of natural gas. This means that LPG cannot simply be substituted for natural gas.

So for permitting the use of of the same burner controls and also providing for similar combustion properties, Liquefied Petroleum Gas can be mixed with the atmosphere to provide a synthetic natural gas. This is simply known by the term SNG that is Synthetic Natural Gas.

Also LPG based synthetic Natural Gas actually have the uses in the emergency backup systems for quite a few utilities.
